I am the K-4 teacher and principal of the school. I have been teaching at the Zanesville Adventist School since August of 1999. Before my time at ZAS, I taught elementary students in public schools in my native England from 1994-1999. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree from the University of Lancaster, England, and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from the University of Leeds, England. I love teaching alongside my husband, and I’m grateful for the small, family-like atmosphere we’ve been able to build here. Our smaller class sizes and the opportunity to teach students over multiple years allow us to really know each child – their strengths, their challenges, and how to help them grow. I especially enjoy sharing quality children’s literature and helping students build the strong foundational knowledge they need in order to succeed. Outside of school, I enjoy relaxing with my family and supporting my two children and my husband in their theatrical pursuits at our local community theater. You may also find me curled up with a hot cup of tea, petting one of my two cats, and enjoying a good movie or show.
